Just Watched "The Big Short" - Whoa.

Okay, so I just finished watching "The Big Short." I knew going in that it was about the 2008 financial crisis, but man, it's still wild to see it all laid out like that. I guess I was kinda blissfully ignorant back then, just living my life, ya know? Now I'm wondering if I should be investing in canned goods and a bunker, haha. Christian Bale as Michael Burry? Dude was creepy good. That scene where he's just sitting in his office, headbanging to metal while the world is falling apart? Iconic. And Steve Carell, playing Mark Baum... he brought a real intensity to the whole thing. I believed he was genuinely pissed off at the greed and stupidity of the banks. The whole Margot Robbie explanation in the bathtub thing was a little on-the-nose, but hey, gotta explain it to the masses somehow, right? I think what got to me the most was just how preventable it all seemed. Like, so many red flags were ignored, and so many people profited off other people's misery. Makes you think about what's going on now, ya know? Are we just sleepwalking into another disaster? Anyone else feel that way after watching? Anyway, good flick. Definitely not a feel-good movie, but important, I think. Now I'm gonna go rewatch "Dumb and Dumber" to cleanse my palate. Gotta find some balance, people!
