The Lighthouse... WTF Did I Just Watch?!
Okay, horror fiends, I just finished watching "The Lighthouse" and my brain is officially scrambled. Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson absolutely KILLED it, like, career-defining performances. But seriously, what was even HAPPENING?! I felt like I was slowly descending into madness with them. I'm especially hung up on the seagull scene. Was it real? Was it a hallucination? Was it a metaphor for... something? And that ending... Pattinson screaming at the light? I need someone to break this down for me! Also, Dafoe's monologues – pure poetry (albeit completely insane). The whole thing was so unsettling and atmospheric, I'm pretty sure I'll be seeing lighthouses in my nightmares for weeks. So, what did you guys take away from it? Did you think it was all psychological, or was there something supernatural at play? And anyone else feel the urge to just yell "Hark!" at random people after watching it? I'm genuinely curious to hear your interpretations because my brain is still trying to process all the wierdness! Also, side note: Did anyone else find the old-timey sailor speak kinda hot or is that just me? #sorrynotsorry #thelighthousemovie #horror #willemdafoe #robertpattinson #helpmeunderstand
