"Guns Akimbo": Pure Mayhem or Hidden Gem? (Thoughts!)

Okay, so I finally got around to watching "Guns Akimbo" and… wow. What a trip! I'm still trying to figure out if I loved it or hated it, to be honest. The whole concept is just insane: some random dude, Miles, gets dragged into this real-life video game with guns bolted to his hands. And then he has to fight Nix, who's basically a one-woman wrecking crew? It's just such a wild ride. The pacing is relentless, and honestly, sometimes it felt a little TOO much? Like, give me a second to breathe! I thought Daniel Radcliffe was surprisingly good! He really sells the whole 'ordinary guy thrown into extraordinary circumstances' thing. There's this scene where he's trying to order coffee with guns attached to his hands, and it's just so awkwardly hilarious. And Samara Weaving as Nix? She was amazing! She just radiates this chaotic energy, and you can't help but be captivated by her even though she's a total badass. But here's my main issue (maybe its just me): I felt like the movie was trying to be this super deep commentary on internet culture and violence, but it mostly just felt… loud. Like, it's all surface-level craziness. Does that make sense? Like, I think it could have been so much more if it had spent even a few minutes exploring the deeper implications of the story? Overall, If you're into over-the-top action and can handle a serious dose of dark humor, then "Guns Akimbo" is definitely worth checking out. But don't go in expecting some profound cinematic experience. It's more like a hyper-caffeinated, neon-soaked explosion of mayhem. What did you all think of it? Did anyone else get the feeling that it could have been "more"?
