The Batman - Slow Burn Detective Perfection?

Okay, so I finally saw "The Batman." Gotta say, going in I was skeptical. ANOTHER Batman movie? But man, Reeves really cooked. The whole thing felt…different. Like a proper detective noir, which is something I always felt the other movies kinda skimped on. Pattinson's Batman is so brooding and raw. You really feel the weight of Gotham crushing him, even through the suit. His fighting style too – brutal, almost amateurish – shows he's still kinda figuring things out. Loved that. The pacing, though. That's the thing people will probably be divided on. It's SLOW. Like deliberately so. Some scenes, like the Iceberg Lounge raid or the car chase with Penguin, are fantastic, but others linger. Personally, I dug it. It allowed the atmosphere to really sink in and build the tension. The Riddler's clues were genuinely creepy, and the way they escalated was super effective. His online broadcast was probably my favorite scene, that felt like a real threat. The stuff with Falcone and the Wayne family… interesting. A little predictable maybe, but it added a layer of complexity to Bruce's motivations. I'm honestly more interested in where they take Selina Kyle's character next, if they keep her around. Zoe Kravitz killed it in that role, such a great foil to Batman. Overall, I think it's a really solid take on Batman. Not perfect, definitely not for everyone if you're looking for a quick superhero fix, but if you're into a slow-burn crime thriller with a masked vigilante thrown in, you'll probably dig it as much as I did. What did you guys think of it?
