Everything Everywhere All at Once: My Brain Hurts (in a good way)

Okay, so I finally saw Everything Everywhere All at Once. Wow. Just... wow. I feel like I need a nap and a philosophical debate all at the same time. The whole multiverse thing? My brain was doing the worm, trying to keep up. Def felt like Evelyn was saying, 'hold on to your butts' the whole time! But seriously, the emotional core of that movie is what really hit me. Michelle Yeoh killed it. The scene where she's just trying to connect with Joy and says 'I will always, always be here' - man, I felt that. And Ke Huy Quan? Short Round all grown up and delivering one of the most genuine, heartfelt performances I've seen in ages. 'In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you.' I almost choked up. That line, out of context, sounds insane, but in context? Gut punch. Honestly, the whole EVERYTHING bagel concept representing nihilism was kinda genius. It makes you think, ya'know? Like, if nothing matters, maybe we should just be kind? Or like, be a rock, lol. There were parts that went a tad too far into the absurd for me, maybe (the hot dog fingers thing, while kinda funny, went on a bit too long), but overall the message about family and finding meaning was powerful. It just goes to show, 'you only live once, but you get so many chances to get it right.' Definitely worth seeing, even if you walk out feeling a little bit like your head's been put through a blender. I am gonna rewatch this soon, I think - there's just SO much to unpack. Anyone else see it and want to discuss the rock universe? Cause I have thoughts.
