Everything Everywhere… Kinda Blew My Mind (in a Good Way!)

Okay, so I just got out of "Everything Everywhere All at Once," and I'm still processing. I gotta say, it was... intense. Like, remember when you first saw "The Matrix" and your brain did that weird reboot thing? It's kinda like that, but with more googly eyes and hot dog fingers. Seriously. Michelle Yeoh, though? Absolute freakin' legend. She's like a cross between Chow Yun-Fat in "Hard Boiled" and... well, I don't even know. Just pure Yeoh-ness. What really got me was how, despite all the multiverse craziness, it was actually about something really simple: family. The struggles between Evelyn and her daughter Joy felt so real, even when they were battling with dildos as weapons (yeah, you read that right). It reminded me a bit of "Terms of Endearment," but, you know, with kung fu and bagels that are black holes. I'm not sure if that's a selling point, but it's true! And Ke Huy Quan! Seeing Short Round all grown up and kicking ass? That alone was worth the price of admission. I'm not gonna lie, there were parts where I was totally lost. The whole everything bagel thing got a little too existential for my Gen X brain. But then there'd be a moment of genuine heart, like when Evelyn finally understood Joy, and it pulled me right back in. The visual effects were pretty impressive too, a big step up from what i'm used to, but I'm not sure if I'll be re-watching it anytime soon -- I need a nap after all that. All in all, it's a wild ride. Is it perfect? Nah. But it's original, it's heartfelt, and it's got Michelle Yeoh beating people up with fanny packs. What's not to love? Anyone else see it? What did you think? Did anyone else feel like they needed an existential crisis decompression chamber after?!?
