Prey (2022) - Predator Prequel Thoughts and a CRAZY Theory!

Hey everyone! So, I finally got around to watching Prey, and HOLY COW. I'm a massive Predator fan (Arnie's the GOAT), but I wasn't sure about a prequel set like... 300 years ago? But it totally worked! Naru is a freakin' badass. I loved her determination, even when everyone doubted her. The whole Comanche setting was so cool and felt really authentic, unlike some historical movies I've seen. The action was brutal, and that whole mud scene, yeah, classic Predator homage. Okay, so here's my theory, and tell me if I'm reaching. What if, and this is a BIG what if, Naru's axe actually is a clue to the Predator's weaknesses? Think about it. She gets it from the French trapper, right? He mentions something about a "souvenir." What if that axe was somehow made from Predator tech that was salvaged WAY back when maybe even before the original Predator even came to earth? Maybe that's why it does so much damage to the Predator at the end. Like, is the whole Predator hunting thing some kind of weird intergalactic "eco-system control" to stop civilizations from advancing too fast and becoming a threat to… someone? It would explain why they keep coming back to Earth. We're scrappy, resourcefull and keep figuring out their tech. Naru figures out his masking... and she uses the axe at the end almost like a reverse-engineered Predator weapon! Maybe that's why she gets the flintlock pistol with the inscription at the end. It's like a reward for taking down a rogue hunter, and a warning: "We're watching..." I dunno, just a thought. Anyway, I really enjoyed Prey. It's defintly worth a watch, even if my theory sounds like I've had one to many. What did you guys think? Am I crazy, or is there something to this axe thing?
