The Adam Project: Time Travel Shenanigans That Actually Worked?

Okay, so I finally got around to watching "The Adam Project" on Netflix, and honestly? I was pleasantly surprised. I went in expecting some cheesy, predictable sci-fi fluff, but it was actually pretty fun! Ryan Reynolds being Ryan Reynolds is always a good time, but the kid who played young Adam (Walker Scobell) nailed it. Like, seriously, he mimics Reynolds' delivery so perfectly it's kinda freaky. Their banter was definitely the highlight, especially when they're roasting each other. I thought the whole time travel plot was, you know, serviceable. Nothing mind-blowing, but it kept me engaged. The action sequences were pretty solid too, some cool futuristic tech going on there. And the emotional stuff with Adam and his dad? I'm not gonna lie, it got me a little teary-eyed. Especially that scene where they're all playing catch together...ugh, right in the feels. But maybe I was just hungry. My only real gripe is that the villain (Maya Sorian, played by Catherine Keener) felt kinda underdeveloped? Like, her motivations were a little weak, and the whole CGI de-aging thing was a bit distracting. I kept getting hung up on how fake it looked instead of actually fearing her. But overall, a really enjoyable watch. Perfect for a chill night in when you just want something entertaining and not too heavy. I give it like, a solid 7.5/10. Anyone else watch it? What'd you think?
