Okay, I Saw "Super Hero" and I'm Officially Off the Dragon Ball Hype Train

Alright, alright, I finally caved and watched Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Everyone and their mom was raving about it, the animation, blah blah blah. Look, the animation was different, I'll give it that. The 3D was... okay. Sometimes it looked genuinely good, other times it looked like a cutscene from a PS3 game. And honestly? It felt soulless. Like they were trying too hard to be different instead of just telling a good story. Speaking of story, the whole Red Ribbon Army thing AGAIN? Seriously? They're like the Team Rocket of Dragon Ball – constantly defeated and constantly back for more. And these new androids, Gamma 1 and 2? They were... fine. Not particularly interesting villains, just punching bags for Gohan and Piccolo to get their 'moment.' And let's talk about Gohan Beast. Visually, it's... something. Powering up sequence dragged on for too long. It’s just another retcon, another power boost from nowhere. Remember when transformations meant something? Honestly, the best part was probably Piccolo. He actually felt like he had a purpose, a reason to be there other than just being the grumpy green babysitter. But even his character arc felt rushed. And the ending? Predictable. The whole movie just felt like fan service disguised as a plot. Maybe I'm just getting old and cynical, but I'm really struggling to see the hype. Dragon Ball needs to either evolve or just die, because this rehash of old ideas and power creep is getting REALLY boring. Anyone else feel me on this?
