Ok, Terrifier 2... WTF did I just watch?

Alright guys, so I finally took the plunge and watched Terrifier 2. I've been hearing about this movie for ages, how it's the goriest thing ever made, and honestly? They weren't kidding. I went in completely blind, not even knowing the director (some dude I've never heard of, apparently). The plot is...well, Art the Clown comes back to life and wants to kill a teenage girl and her little brother on Halloween. Simple enough, right? WRONG. I'm not usually squeamish, but some of these scenes were BRUTAL. Like, the bedroom scene with Allie? I almost had to look away. The practical effects are insane, and honestly, kinda impressive in a twisted way. Lauren LaVera as Sienna was pretty great though. She really sold the whole 'fighting for her life' thing. David Howard Thornton as Art...man, that dude is creepy. Just silent and menacing. That part in the costume shop where he's just messing around sent chills down my spine for some reason. Honestly, I'm still processing what I just watched. It's definitely not for everyone, and I can see why some people would hate it. It's over-the-top, gratuitous, and kinda ridiculous at times. I was trying to eat nachos while watching but that didn't last lol. But I was also kinda entertained? It's so unapologetically violent that after a while, it almost becomes darkly comedic. Maybe I'm just desensitized now? I'm not sure if I'd recommend it to everyone, but if you're a horror fan who's looking for something extreme and doesn't mind buckets of blood, give Terrifier 2 a try. Just don't say I didn't warn you. What did you guys think? Am I crazy for kinda liking it?
