Ambulance: My Wild Theory About Will's Combat Past
Okay, so I just got out of 'Ambulance' and WHEW. What a ride. Michael Bay, man, he just gets explosions. But beyond the chaos, I've got this theory brewing about Will (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). We know he's a decorated veteran, right? But they drop these little hints... like when he's PATCHING UP DANNY'S WOUND IN THE AMBULANCE WITH SUCH PRECISION. "A steady hand is a soldier's best weapon," and all that jazz. It felt REALLY specific. And then the way he handles weapons? Beyond just knowing how to use them, it was like... instinctual. My theory? Will wasn't just some рядовой (private). I think he was Tier One. Special Forces. Like, REALLY deep in the black ops stuff. It explains why he's so hesitant to get pulled back into Danny's world. He's seen some SERIOUS stuff, and he's trying to leave it behind. The whole 'just needs money for his wife' angle? That's the surface. Underneath, he's running from his past. I mean, "the past is never dead. It's not even past." Right Faulkner? Think about it: Danny clearly respects Will's capabilities, even before the heist goes south. He’s not just asking his brother for help; it's like he KNOWS Will has skills far beyond what he lets on. Plus, the way Will IMMEDIATELY adapts to the ambulance situation? Driving like a maniac, performing surgery mid-chase… that's not something you just pick up at basic training. It screamed, "I've done this before, but with even MORE collateral damage". Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think a deeper dive into Will's backstory could make for a WAY more compelling sequel (if they ever do one). Just sayin'. Also, Eiza González was a total badass. Period. "Say hello to my little friend!"
