Samaritan: My Wild Theory About Cyrus (Spoilers!)

Okay, so I just finished watching Samaritan, right? And I gotta say, it was… interesting. Definitely not what I was expecting from a Stallone superhero flick. But something's been bugging me, and I wanted to toss my theory out there to see what y'all think. So, everyone's focused on whether Mr. Smith is really Samaritan, which, duh, he is. But what if Cyrus isn't just some random psycho trying to fill the villain void? What if... he's Samaritan's brother, Nemesis?! Hear me out – they never explicitly say what happened to Nemesis's body. They just say he died in the fire, right? And Cyrus is obsessed with Nemesis, claiming he was the REAL hero because he fought for the little people. Maybe Cyrus survived the fire, but horribly scarred and twisted in his motivations. He's basically trying to finish what Nemesis started, but in an even more extreme way. Think about the scene where Cyrus is beating up the kid, Sam. It felt super personal, right? Like he wasn't just trying to be intimidating, but genuinely wanted to hurt this kid who believed in Samaritan. Maybe that hate stems from the fact that Samaritan, aka his own brother, “killed”/betrayed him? Plus, the movie never shows us Cyrus's backstory, which I found odd. It's like they're deliberately keeping something hidden. Also, I think it's a little to easy to just right off the bad guy as a common thug. I know, I know, it's a bit of a stretch. But it would add a whole other layer to the story! Maybe they're setting it up for a sequel where Samaritan has to confront his messed-up brother's legacy. What do you guys think? Am I totally off base?
