365 Days: This Day - Okay, but can we talk about the wardrobe?
Right, so I just finished watching '365 Days: This Day' and...wow. Drama, am I right? I'm not even going to get into the plot holes, because honestly, I was mostly paying attention to the fashion. And girl, Laura's wardrobe upgrade? SERIOUSLY. Remember the first movie? Cute, but kinda basic. This time around, she's dripping in designer. That white dress she wears on the beach in the beginning? STUNNING. I need to know who the costume designer is, because they understood the assignment: opulent, effortlessly chic, and screams "I have a billionaire boyfriend". Massimo's style is pretty consistent – the tailored suits are always on point – but I was way more intrigued by Laura's journey through fashion. I even noticed how even the swimwear was elevated! It's like, she's evolving through her clothes. And then there's Nacho... okay, I'm not even going to lie, I was lowkey rooting for him, and his style was more relaxed and bohemian, which definitely made him appear way more approachable than you-know-who. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a good linen shirt, lol. I will say, some of the choices were a little... questionable? Like, the whole 'going out to dinner' look in Poland felt a bit too much, even for her. But overall, the costuming definitely helped build the fantasy of it all. It's pure escapism, and the clothes play a huge role in creating that. It also helped me ignore that this was basically fancy erotica that kind of forgot the plot halfway through. So, yeah, plot? Shrug. Dialogue? Meh. Wardrobe? Obsessed. Anyone else notice the fashion evolution? I need someone to discuss this with!
