Okay, Oppenheimer... WOW. Just WOW.

Alright, so I just got back from seeing Oppenheimer, and I'm still kinda processing. Went with Liam and Chloe, and Liam was geeking out the entire time. lol. The thing is, even I was pretty captivated. I'm not usually into historical dramas, especially ones this long, but the tension was insane. Like, you KNOW what's coming, but the way they showed Oppenheimer wrestling with the morality of it all... Cillian Murphy killed it, by the way. Seriously, his eyes alone could tell a story. There were so many scenes that stuck with me. The Trinity test was obviously HUGE (literally), but also the quieter moments, like when he's talking to Kitty (Emily Blunt!), were so powerful. You could feel the weight of the world on their shoulders. And honestly, the way they jumped around in time at first was confusing, but eventually it all clicked and made the story even more compelling. One thing though: Florence Pugh... whew. Their scenes were intense but also kinda... I don't know, exploitative? Maybe it's just me, but it felt like they leaned a little too hard into the whole tortured artist thing with her character. Overall, though, it was an incredible film. Not sure if I'd watch it again anytime soon, it was emotionally draining, but definitely worth seeing on the big screen. What did you guys think? Anyone else find the time jumps confusing at first? Oh! And FYI, Liam says you have to see it in IMAX if you can. He's obsessed. I just thought the sound was really loud, haha. But the visuals were definitely impressive.
