"Lost Kingdom" Theory: Black Manta's Trident is WAY More Than We Think

Okay, so I just got out of "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" and honestly, I'm still processing. Visually, it's stunning, like, the underwater world-building is insane. But something about Black Manta's whole vibe, especially with that Black Trident, felt…off. Like, more powerful than just a super weapon. I have a theory brewing, and maybe it's crazy, but hear me out. Remember when they were explaining the history of the Lost Kingdom and the ancient Atlantean sorcery they used to power their weapons? What if the Black Trident isn't just a regular trident infused with dark magic. What if it's a key? A key to unlocking something even bigger, something the Lost Kingdom was desperately trying to keep locked away. Black Manta seemed almost like a puppet at times, driven by something more than just revenge. The Trident itself was guiding him, pushing him towards a specific goal – maybe releasing some ancient evil. Think about it: why go to all that trouble to reawaken those frozen creatures and drain the Atlantean power? Was that really just about destroying Aquaman's home? Or was it about gathering the necessary energy to unlock the Trident's true potential? I was half expecting some Elder God or Cthulhu-esque monster to pop out at the end. It kinda felt like they were laying breadcrumbs but didn't quite commit to the full reveal. Maybe I'm reaching, and it's just a classic revenge plot amped up with a fancy weapon. But the way Black Manta was acting, and the sheer power emanating from that Trident, screamed something more sinister. I kinda hope they explore this in a sequel, because if that trident is basically a prison key... Atlantis is in trouble. Thoughts?
