"Anyone But You" - Okay, I actually chuckled... A few times.

Alright, so I just finished "Anyone But You." I went in expecting absolute rom-com garbage, the kind that makes you actively dumber, y'know? But... and I can't believe I'm saying this... it was kinda...fun? Don't get me wrong, it's still cheesy as hell, but Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell have like, legit chemistry. I mean, you can practically see the sparks fly. I'm a sucker for that 'enemies to lovers' trope even if it's predictable. Did anyone else find their bickering weirdly hot sometimes? Or is it just me, fueled by 2 AM pizza rolls? Okay, the whole destination wedding setup in Australia was peak rom-com ridiculousness. Like, everything goes wrong. But that scene where they 'fake' flirt on the boat to make their exes jealous? Gold. Pure, unadulterated, so-bad-it's-good gold. Seriously, Powell's smirks were on point. And Sweeney actually pulled off the 'annoyed but secretly turned on' face really well. I'm impressed. My big question is, does anyone buy the whole 'misunderstanding' thing that drove them apart in the first place? I found it a little weak, honestly. Like, one eavesdropped conversation ruins everything? Come on. Needed more meat on that bone. Also, did anyone else think the yoga instructor guy was a total creeper? The vibes were WAY off. Anyway, I'm not saying it's winning any Oscars, but for a late-night, brain-dead movie fix, it hit the spot. Anyone else strangely entertained? Or am I losing it?
