Okay, was anyone ELSE distracted by Gerard Butler's jacket in Plane?
Okay, so I just saw Plane (lol, the title). Action-y, kinda dumb, but fine for a Friday night. BUT I need to talk about Gerard Butler's jacket. Like, the whole plot is about surviving a plane crash and fighting militias in the jungle, right? And he's constantly diving, shooting, getting rained on…but his leather jacket? Pristine. Like, not a single scratch or smudge. What kind of magical leather is that?! Am I the only one who found this hilariously distracting? I was half expecting it to be revealed as some sort of indestructible, government-issued outerwear at the end. I mean, the pilot uniform makes sense, but that jacket felt like such a style choice, and it just didn't fit the whole 'stranded in a warzone' vibe. Also, a slightly different note, the flight attendants all looked amazing, even in the wreckage. What kind of waterproof mascara were they using? But seriously, anyone have any insights on the jacket? Was it product placement or just a weird continuity oversight? I need to know!
