"Operation Fortune": More Fun Than I Expected!
Okay, so I just got back from seeing "Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre" and honestly? I went in with pretty low expectations. Like, Jason Statham fighting bad guys is always good, but the trailer didn't exactly scream 'amazing.' But I was pleasantly surprised! It was way more fun than I thought it'd be. Hugh Grant was hilarious! Seriously, every scene he was in, I was cracking up. He plays a sleazy arms dealer SO well. Loved the banter between Aubrey Plaza and Statham too, their dynamic was great. I won't spoil anything, but there's this whole thing with Josh Hartnett playing himself, a mega movie star, and they basically use him as bait. It's ridiculous, but in a good way. There were some pretty decent action sequences too, nothing groundbreaking, but solid. I especially liked the scene in the supervillain's lair - felt very James Bond-esque, which I'm always a sucker for. Plus, it was filmed in Turkey, apparently? The locations looked amazing. It's not a movie that's going to win any awards, let's be real. The plot's kinda silly and sometimes it felt a little...long, maybe? But if you're just looking for a movie to switch your brain off, laugh a bit, and see some cool fight scenes, then I'd absolutely recommend it. Definetly more rewatchable than most action flicks coming out lately. Overall, a solid 7/10 from me. Would defo go see it again on a lazy sunday!
