When Evil Lurks: Okay, I'm Officially Scared...But Confused?

Okay, so I just finished watching 'When Evil Lurks' with Sarah and Mark, and HOLY COW. What a ride! That movie messed with my head in the best possible way...and also, like, in a REALLY confusing way. The tension was insane, and those infected people were genuinely terrifying. I jumped like five times, and I NEVER jump! But seriously, did anyone else feel completely lost at times? Like, the rules of the "Rotten" felt kinda vague? For example, did Pedro REALLY have to kill his own kids? That whole scene was brutal, and I get the 'prevent the spread' thing, but it also felt kinda... arbitrary? And what was up with Salvador's dog? That was just messed up for the sake of being messed up, right? I love a good scare, but I also like things to mostly make sense. Also, don't get me started on the ending. Talk about bleak! I mean, I kinda saw it coming, but still... It really hammered home that nobody was safe. I'm still trying to decide if I liked the ending or hated it - I'm leaning toward liked it, but DAMN. Anyway, I'm curious what everyone else thought. Was it just me, or were some of the plot points a bit muddled? And what did you make of Pedro's decisions? Let's discuss!
