Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer: Did Anyone Else Catch That?!
Okay, so I just watched the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer for, like, the tenth time (no shame), and I'm geeking out! Beyond the obvious Ryan Reynolds/Hugh Jackman chemistry (which is already gonna be legendary), did anyone else notice the subtle sound design cues? When Wolverine popped his claws for the first time, the reverb was chef's kiss. It wasn't just the schlick sound, but the way it subtly echoed, almost like an animalistic growl was blended in. I'm hoping they really leaned into that savagery with his soundscape. And then there's the potential for visual FX overload, which I'm totally here for. The collapsing TVA headquarters looked insane – not just the destruction, but the weird, almost glitchy distortions around it. That makes me wonder if they're messing with some serious multiversal shenanigans (obviously!), and if that'll translate to layered visual effects that actually serve the story, not just look cool. Too many superhero flicks nowadays rely on generic explosions; I'm hoping this one delivers something genuinely unique. One thing that's got me scratching my head, though: Deadpool's suit looked different somehow. Maybe it's just the lighting, but it seems almost… more high-tech? Or maybe he just got it cleaned? Haha! Either way, I’m curious to see if there are any small updates that change his movement in any way. Super nerdy, I know, but those details matter, especially with a character as physical as Deadpool. What are your thoughts? Did you notice any cool visual details I missed? And the VFX on the portal bits when Deadpool has his little TVA device? Chefs kiss. Looked like a more complex version of the Dr. Strange portal effects. More like... an opening to raw space and time or something? The way the colors swirled and the light bent. My god. Okay, I'm done. For now.
