Dune Part Two: Okay, but can we talk about the fashion?

Just saw Dune: Part Two and, wow, visually stunning, right? But me being me (sophiaonfilm, duh!), I was practically drooling over the costumes. Like, the way they managed to blend the practicality of desert survival with these almost regal, ethereal vibes? Genius. I’m thinking specifically of some of Chani's (Zendaya) outfits -- that draped shawl situation she had going on in the sietch? I need that pattern, stat. And the stillsuits! They looked so much more streamlined and, dare I say, chic than in the first movie. Speaking of chic, Lady Jessica's Bene Gesserit robes were straight up POWER dressing. The way they used the deep blues and blacks, with those subtle textures... it just screamed 'don't mess with me, I control everything behind the scenes.' Honestly, the costume design alone could carry like half the movie's weight. The stark contrast between the Fremen's practical desert wear and the Harkonnen's brutalist, almost industrial aesthetic was chef's kiss. Felt like the costumes were characters in themselves, telling the story without a single line of dialogue sometimes. (Maybe that was the point?) I do have a small nitpick, though. I wished we saw a bit more variety in the Fremen's ceremonial attire. It felt a tad repetitive after a while, even though it was beautifully crafted. Like, yes, the veiled look is iconic, but maybe a few more variations in fabric or embellishments? But honestly, that detail aside, the costumes are just a feast for the eyes. Anyway, just wanted to rave about the fashion! Did anyone else notice any standout pieces? Let me know your thoughts! Maybe I'm just too into fashion, but I think the costumes in Dune: Part Two deserve some serious awards attention.
