Kung Fu Panda 4: Okay, but where's the Furious Five?

Alright, just finished Kung Fu Panda 4. Look, it wasn't bad, but it definitely felt...different, y'know? Like, Po's trying to become the spiritual leader and find a new Dragon Warrior, which sounds cool on paper, but honestly, I missed the Furious Five HARD. They were practically cameos! Like, Tigress gets a few lines, but the rest? Barely there. What gives? I did kinda dig Zhen, the fox character Po's training. She's got that street-smart vibe and a bit of a questionable past, which adds some spice to the usual Kung Fu Panda formula. The Chameleon villain was alright – Viola Davis is always great, but I wasn't completely sold on her as a truly menacing threat, compared to Tai Lung or even Lord Shen. The whole power-stealing thing felt a little… generic? There was one scene, though, where they go back to the Spirit Realm and have to face all the old villains that was amazing. Seeing Tai Lung again was a great move and made the movie worth watching, in my opinion. Overall, it's watchable, especially if you're already a Kung Fu Panda fan. But don't go in expecting the same level of emotional depth or epic battles as the earlier films. It's more of a fun, lighthearted adventure with some familiar faces (and some not-so-familiar faces) thrown in. I'm giving it a solid 6.5/10. Need more Furious Five in the sequel. No excuses, DreamWorks!
