Bad Boys: Ride or Die - Still got it... mostly. 🤷♀️
Okay, so I just saw Bad Boys: Ride or Die, and honestly? It was a fun ride. I went in expecting explosions and ridiculousness, and it definitely delivered on that front. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence still have incredible chemistry, and the jokes between them are what makes these movies work. There were some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments, especially anything involving Marcus's existential dread. Seriously, that whole 'everything's a sign' thing was hilarious, but also maybe a little too much at times? Where it kinda lost me a bit was the plot. The whole 'Captain framed' thing felt a little…generic, you know? Like something I've seen a million times before. And some of the twists felt a bit forced. I appreciated the call-backs to the previous movies, like Armando's redemption arc attempt (kind of rolled my eyes, but fine), but I think maybe they relied too heavily on nostalgia to carry it through. Also, maybe I missed something, but that rave scene felt weirdly out of place? Like a music video snuck into the movie. Overall, it was enjoyable. Definitely not the best movie ever made, lol, but a solid action-comedy that's worth seeing if you're a Bad Boys fan. It's a fun summer flick, and sometimes that's all you need. Did anyone else find the villain's motivation a little...weak? I'm curious what other people thought!
