Okay, I'm Actually Kinda Hyped for 'Mufasa: The Lion King'?!

Alright, so I saw the trailer for 'Mufasa: The Lion King' and I gotta admit, I was skeptical at first. Another Lion King movie? Really? But the animation looks gorgeous, right? Like, seriously stunning. And the story... Mufasa and Taka (Scar) as like, buds? I'm intrigued! I'm a sucker for origin stories, especially when it comes to villains, so I'm curious to see how they mess him up enough to become Scar. I hope they don't pull a Maleficent and try to completely redeem him, though. Scar's gotta be Scar! I'm also kinda digging the whole 'misfit crew' vibe. It reminds me a little of Guardians of the Galaxy but with lions, haha. I'm hoping for some good humor and maybe even some emotional moments (I'm a crybaby, let's be real). Plus, I'm always down for more lion king music. Will it be as iconic as the original? Probably not. But I'm ready for some new bangers! I'm just keeping my expectations in check since reboots/prequels can be risky. One thing I'm a little nervous about is the director being 'unknown.' Like, is that a pseudonym or do they just want to keep it a secret? That part is weird. But I trust Disney when it comes to animation. Overall, I think it has potential. Def see myself grabbing popcorn and watching it in theaters, even if it does end up being average. My inner child is just too strong. LOL. Anyone else feeling cautiously optimistic about this one?
