Longlegs: Creepy Vibes and Lingering Questions! (Spoilers Ahead)

Okay, so I just saw "Longlegs" and I'm officially creeped out. I went in knowing basically nothing except that it was horror and had Maika Monroe, who I think is great, and the marketing was already unsettling. I have to say, the atmosphere was incredible. The director (who is still a mystery, right?? That's so cool) really nailed the unsettling, slow-burn dread. Some of those visuals are going to be stuck in my head for a while, especially anything involving that symbol. Gross! Maika Monroe as agent Harker was fantastic. You really felt her unraveling as she got deeper and deeper into the case. That scene where she's in the library, surrounded by all the occult books, and you can just see the realization dawning on her face? Chills. I liked the weird, almost dreamlike quality some scenes had – made it hard to know what was “real” and what wasn’t. Like, was Nicolas Cage menacing or legitimately batshit insane? Both, maybe? I'm still trying to piece together everything that happened though, and I think that's what makes it stick with you. I have a feeling people are going to be debating the ending for agessss. Definetly want to give it another watch to see if I catch anything I missed the first time around. The soundtrack was SO GOOD too. Overall, it's not a perfect movie, but it's definitely a memorable one. I'd recommend it if you're into slow-burn horror with a strong atmosphere and aren't afraid of leaving the theater with more questions than answers. What did everyone else think? Did you sus out the connections to Harker's past earlier than I did?
