Longlegs: Creepy AF and I'm Here For It

Okay, so I just saw the trailer for Longlegs and I'm officially intrigued... and slightly terrified. Like, the whole vibe is just unsettling. I'm loving that the director's still a mystery – adds to the creep factor, right? Maika Monroe as the FBI agent? Yes, please. She always picks such interesting projects, and seeing her delving into the occult serial killer case already has me hooked. Her character's name is Lee Harker, and is it just me, or does that name sound so familiar? Like, is the movie connected to another horror franchise? I'm sure redditors will have a field day with that. That scene where [SPOILER ALERT, kind of] her reflection does something screwy in the mirror? Gave me legit goosebumps. And the children singing… shudders. The trailer is so low-key on plot, but it's heavy on atmosphere, and that's exactly what I crave in a good thriller. I'm really hoping it leans into the psychological horror aspect and doesn't just rely on jump scares. I'm so sick of jump scares these days. I'm really hoping that this movie will deliver. The plot seems a bit like a Silence of the Lambs meets The Witch vibe, which could be amazing if done right.
