Rebel Moon 2: Theory on Where They're REALLY Going Next
Okay, so I just finished 'Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver' with Sarah and Mark (pizza and all, naturally). Overall, I thought it was...fine. Definitely more action-packed than the first, but still kinda felt like setting the stage for something bigger. And that's where my theory comes in! So, throughout the movie, they keep referencing past rebellions and factions that oppose the Motherworld. But they NEVER actually show them! My thought is that the next movie (if there IS one) won't just be about fighting the Motherworld on Veldt. I think Kora and the gang are going to go on a recruitment drive. Remember the scene where Titus is all like, 'We're not alone, there are others'? I bet that's a HUGE hint. Like maybe they'll travel to different planets, uniting these scattered rebel groups to finally take down the Motherworld for good. Maybe they even meet Jimmy's creator (or something) that explains what he realy is. Sarah thinks it's too 'Avengers-esque' to be plausible, but Mark's kinda on board. Think about it – it solves the problem of the Motherworld being too powerful. They can't just beat 'em with a ragtag group from one farm planet, right? They need an army! Plus, it would give us a chance to explore more of the universe, which is honestly where this movie series shines. The world-building potential is there, it just needs a little push! Last thing: I'm calling it now, the princess dude is totally going to have a dramatic redemption arc where he sacrifices himself. I just have a feeling. What do you guys think? Am I reaching, or is this totally where they're headed?
