MaXXXine Theory: Is Maxine the Real Killer?

Okay, so I just got out of MaXXXine and I'm SO hyped, but also, things are rattling around in my brain. Mia Goth KILLS it (pun intended, sorry not sorry), but I can't shake this feeling... what if Maxine is actually the killer? Hear me out! We spend so much time seeing the events through her eyes, and the movie deliberately plays with that slasher trope of 'final girl.' But what if that's a misdirect? There are these weird little moments, right? Like the tension when she's around other actresses, especially when they're getting roles. I know she's ambitious, but sometimes it felt almost... predatory? And think about the stuff surrounding her past. We keep getting hints that something seriously messed up happened on the farm, and while she claims to be a survivor, what if that trauma warped her in a different way? Maybe the killer is a dark extension of Maxine's ambition and her need to protect her 'dream.' It's a bit of a stretch, maybe, but it would be such a twisted, brilliant move. Plus, the whole 'Maxine Minx' persona IS already a character, right? A constructed identity. It gives her a perfect cover. Everyone's looking for some deranged fanboy or a scorned director, no one suspects the 'innocent' final girl. What if it's all a performance within the performance? I need to rewatch it and pay closer attention to her reactions during the 'killer' scenes. I might be totally off-base, but I can't stop thinking about it. What do you guys think? Am I reaching, or is there something to this theory?
