Wolfs: Clooney & Pitt back together? Okay, I'm in. But...
Okay, so I just saw Wolfs (2024). Listen, Clooney and Pitt. What's not to love, right? The premise is simple: two fixers, forced to work together. Classic buddy-comedy setup with a crime twist. I went in expecting a fun, stylish ride, and I got... mostly that. There are definitely some genuinely hilarious moments, like when Pitt's character keeps calling Clooney's character "Babe". The chemistry is definitely there, which is crucial for this kind of flick. Cinematography-wise, it's pretty solid, if maybe a little too slick. Lots of dark, moody lighting, which works for the noir-ish atmosphere, but sometimes it felt a bit generic? Like, I've seen this color palette a million times before. I was hoping for something a little more distinctive, you know? There are moments where the direction really shines - particularly in the fight scenes, which are brutal and surprisingly funny – but overall, it didn't blow me away from a technical standpoint. My main gripe? The plot felt a little thin. The whole 'high-profile crime' thing didn't feel particularly high-stakes, and at times it just seemed like an excuse to get Clooney and Pitt in goofy situations. Maybe that's the point, idk. BUT, when you cast these two, you kinda want them to have more to do than just riff off each other (as much as I enjoyed that part!). I definetly think the story could have been expanded more if they tried! Overall, its a fun watch! Would I recommend it? Yeah, probably. Especially if you're a Clooney/Pitt fan. Just don't go in expecting a groundbreaking cinematic experience. It's more like a very expensive, very charming, and very funny popcorn movie. A fun Friday night for sure, but nothing that'll stick with me for weeks, I think.
