Fantozzi Against the Wind: So Bad It's Hilarious?

Okay, so I just finished watching "Fantozzi Against the Wind," the third in the Fantozzi series, and I'm honestly not sure what to think. I went in expecting some dark comedy, maybe a little bit of social commentary hidden beneath the slapstick, but…wow. Paolo Villaggio just goes all out in this one. Is it good? Probably not in the traditional sense of the word, lol. But is it entertaining? Absolutely. Like, that cycling race scene? Seriously bonkers. And the whole thing with him trying to impress the director? Cringe city, but I couldn't look away. I think what really gets me is how relentlessly unlucky Fantozzi is. You almost feel bad for the guy…almost. But then he does something totally ridiculous and you're just laughing again. The scene where he tries to sail is pure gold. Gold, I tells ya. It's all super over the top, and definitely not for everyone, but I found myself cracking up way more than I probably should have. It's definitely way more absurd than scary, so maybe it doesn't totally fit my usual horror/thriller vibe. But there's a certain kind of horrifying realism to the everyday struggles of Fantozzi! I suppose it's more funny-horrifying than anything else. Anyone else seen it and have thoughts? Am I completely missing something or are we all in agreement that this is just gloriously terrible? And does anyone know who directed this one? I can't find any info on that at all. That's some dedication to anonymity, right there!
