Mind Blown: Was "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" secretly a DREAM?

Okay, folks, hear me out. I just re-watched "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" (yeah, the Ray Harryhausen-inspired stop-motion one… kinda) and I'm starting to think it wasn't just a low-budget dino-fest, but maybe a freakin' DREAM SEQUENCE! Think about it. The tribes are so weird, everyone's covered in mud, and the dinosaurs basically act like overgrown puppies (except when they're eating people, obvs). It all has that hazy, illogical feel you get when you're asleep. Like, how else do you explain that giant scorpion thing? Or the freakin' SUN PEOPLE at the end? "It's full of stars," right? Nah, it's full of dream logic. Specifically, I think someone in the movie is having a really, REALLY bad dream. My money's on Sanna. She's about to be sacrificed to the sun god, then kidnapped, then nearly eaten like, three times. That's textbook nightmare fuel! And the ending, where she realizes she's pregnant with Tara's kid? That's the kind of shocking twist your subconscious throws at you when you're trying to wake up. Is it 'good'? Well, the stop-motion is fun, and Victoria Vetri isn't hard to look at (don't @ me), but *good* might be too strong of a word. Think about the scene where Tara rescues Sanna from the sacrifice platform. It's so over the top and melodramatic that it almost feels deliberately…off. Like someone's subconscious is trying to make sense of a situation it doesn't fully grasp. And the love story? Rushed, unbelievable... dreamlike. Plus, the whole 'dinosaurs ruling the Earth' thing? It's a very primal fear, right? Something that could easily manifest in a vivid, terrifying dream. Anyway, that's my theory. Am I reaching? Probably. But next time you watch it, try to see it as a nightmare instead of a straightforward prehistoric adventure. Maybe you'll start seeing those hidden dream elements too. "We must go deeper!" What do you guys think?
