Ace (1981) - Italian Comedy Gold?! Kinda confused tho...

Okay, so I stumbled across this movie called "Ace" from '81. I'm trying to broaden my horizons from just like, the super obvious classics. The plot description was WILD: a poker player gets bumped off on his wedding night 'cause he's too good, then plays poker in HEAVEN to come back to earth?? Had to see it. It's... definitely Italian. Like, the humor is very broad, and honestly some parts felt a little slapstick-y for my taste. But the main dude, Asso, is kinda charming, and the whole premise is so bizarre I couldn't look away. I'm especially confused by the ending tho. He wins the poker game, comes back, but then... what? It just kinda ends abruptly? Did I miss something? Like, did it get cut off or something? Were some cultural things just over my head or something? I thought there'd be like, some revenge plot or something, but nope. Also, the scene where he's basically flirting with Saint Peter to get into the poker game in heaven was… something else. I'm not sure if I loved it or was completely weirded out. Anyone else seen this? Am I missing something obvious, or is this just a case of "they don't make 'em like this anymore... for good reason? lol. Seriously tho, someone explain the ending to me, I'm so confused!
