Just Watched "Eccezzziunale... veramente" - Italian Comedy Gold?!

Okay, so I'm on this kick of watching older, classic comedies and someone recommended "Eccezzziunale... veramente" (1982). I'd never even heard of it but figured, why not? And man, it's... something else. Diego Abatantuono playing three different soccer fans is pretty wild. You've got the Juventus trucker, the AC Milan ultra... and the Inter supporter. The stereotypes are HIGH, but in a way that's almost charmingly over-the-top. I'm still trying to figure out if I loved it, but I definitely enjoyed it. Tirzan, the Juventus fan, was probably my favorite of the three, just because his scenes were so ridiculous. The whole thing at the border crossing... I was dying! Donato, the Milan dude, was funny too, but maybe a little more predictable. And tbh, I felt kinda bad for the Inter guy, Franco. He just seemed constantly miserable. The humor's definitely dated, some stuff wouldn't fly today, but there's a certain energy to it that's infectious. It's like a time capsule of Italian soccer culture from the early 80s. I'm not a huge soccer (football!) guy, but I got the general idea. Anyone else seen this? Am I missing some layers of irony or is it just pure, silly, Italian comedy? Would love to hear your thoughts! Also, is Abatantuono always this good? I might have to check out more of his movies.
