"Sorry for the Delay" (1983) – Hidden Gem or Just Plain Hidden?

Alright, so I stumbled across this Italian flick from '83 called "Sorry for the Delay". Vincenzo is the epitome of a slacker, still mooching off his mama and basically allergic to work. Then he meets Anna and suddenly wants to do something, but it feels like he's scrambling just to keep her interested. I'm a sucker for comedies with that kind of lovable loser at the center, but I'm also wondering if anyone else has seen this? It's weirdly hard to find any real info on it. No director listed, no big stars...just a whole lotta Vincenzo being a mess. I gotta say, I'm intrigued by Vincenzo's transformation, or attempts at it anyway. How far would you go to impress a woman? I mean this dude's trying to get a job for once in his life, that's some serious dedication. But also, the whole premise feels a bit...dated, maybe? I'm not sure Anna's character gets enough depth, which is a bummer 'cause their relationship is the whole point. But the comedy does land! And being a fan of stunts, i actually got a good laugh from all the crazy stuff Vinzeno does to prove himself. You can totally tell there's no budget for this film, the special effects are practically non-existent, but I appreciate the effort. Anyone know if they really did all of those pratfalls? The one where he falls in the ditch is pretty funny. So, has anyone else seen this one? Am I just late to the party on some obscure Italian comedy gold, or is there a reason why this movie's stayed buried all these years? Let me know your thoughts if you've seen it!
