Police Academy: Still cracks me up!

Okay, so I know Police Academy (the original '84 one) ain't winning any Oscars, but man, it's pure comedy gold. I'm a sucker for practical effects and physical comedy, and this movie delivers in spades. Forget CGI, we're talking real people launching themselves into things! The whole idea of a bunch of misfits joining the police force because of some new law is just genius for setting up crazy situations. I always lose it when Tackleberry goes full Rambo with his own personal arsenal. Seriously, who brings a bazooka to a parade? Classic! And Hightower flipping over that police car is just iconic. I heard they actually did that stunt for real, which is insane. It's the kind of commitment to a gag that I really appreciate. You just don't see stuff like that anymore. Yeah, it's pretty cheesy and some of the jokes are definitely dated, but that's part of its charm. It's just dumb, fun entertainment. It's the kind of movie you can watch a million times and still laugh at the same parts. I’m not saying it's a 'perfect' film, but for pure, unadulterated silliness, Police Academy is hard to beat. What are your favorite bits? Curious to know if I'm the only one still chuckling at this flick. P.S. I tried a Tackleberry impression once, ended with a bruised elbow and some explaining to do to the neighbors. Don't try this at home, kids.
