Bugs Bunny's 1981 Movie - More Than Just a Rehash?

Okay, so I finally got around to watching "The Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie" (yeah, try saying that five times fast!). I'm a sucker for anything WB animation, so I had to check it out, even though it's basically a compilation film. Honestly, I went in expecting just a nostalgia trip, a lazy cash grab using classic shorts. And, yeah, it kinda is that, but... it's also kinda charming? The framing device of Bugs hosting an award show is actually pretty funny, especially when Yosemite Sam tries to rig the game, lol. The shorts themselves are obviously gold – you can't go wrong with stuff like "Bully for Bugs" or any of the musical ones. But the new bits, the scenes that connect the shorts, actually add something. There's a weird meta humor there; they are self-aware about being cartoons and reusing gags. And the way they're all interacting, Bugs and Daffy bickering on set, it feels less like a clip show and more like, well, a looney world I wouldn't mind exploring. My biggest gripe? Some of the segments feel a little chopped up. Like, they take out bits here and there to keep things moving along. I get it, attention spans and all that, but it's a shame to lose classic moments. Plus, I wish they had included more obscure shorts, not just the super famous ones. Imagine if they dug up some Clampett or Avery stuff that most people haven't seen! Talk about world-building possibilities! Overall, it's a fun watch for any Looney Tunes fan, even if it's not exactly groundbreaking. It's definitely a nice way to introduce the classics to a new generation... and it's better than "Space Jam 2," haha. What about you guys? What are your thoughts on the movie? Any favorite shorts that SHOULD have been included?
