Jan Švankmajer's 'Dimensions of Dialogue': Claymation Head Trip!

Okay, so I just watched this short film called 'Dimensions of Dialogue' by Jan Švankmajer from '83, and wow, it's a trip. No dialogue, just insane claymation/stop motion. It's split into three parts, right? 'Exhaustive Discussion,' 'Passionate Discourse,' and 'Factual Conversation.' The first one, 'Exhaustive Discussion,' freaked me out the most. These heads made of different materials just keep consuming and regurgitating each other...it's like a super-dark version of Pac-Man gone totally Kafka. It's all about how we, like, absorb information (or misinformation) until we lose all originality. Feels very relevant still, doesn't it? The second bit, with the Adam and Eve figures smashing each other up, made me think of Bergman mixed with Gumby. Intense! The last segment, 'Factual Conversation,' is the creepiest. A dude's face keeps getting tools and other random objects shoved in it that come out as other things – like trying to turn a head into a factory, or something. It's a really disturbing visualization of how communication can be corrupted into just manufactured garbage. Definitely not something you'd see in a Spielberg flick, that's for sure! Overall, it's thought-provoking and disturbing, and for some reason, watching it made me think of Terry Gilliam's stuff and those old Twilight Zone episodes all at once. Definitely worth checking out if you're into surreal, weird art-house films that make you question everything. I give it a solid 'whoa, dude' rating. Anyone else seen this and have thoughts? I wanna know what you guys think!
