Just watched 'The Final Chapter' AGAIN... still noticing stuff!

Okay, so I know, I know, they lied. It wasn't even CLOSE to Jason's 'final chapter'. But honestly, 'Friday the 13th: Part 4' is probably my favourite in the franchise. I've seen it a million times, but every time I rewatch I end up noticing a new detail or something I didn't quite pick up on before. This time around, I was REALLY paying attention to the Crispin Glover stuff. He's so weird and awkward as Jimmy, but it's genius, right? The whole dancing scene, leading up to Jason just kinda...staring him down, it's so bizarre and unsettling. And the practical effects are really great in that movie! Especially when Jason is going for kills, they're so effective and don't look silly like they do in some of the later films. I will say, though, that I always forget how long it takes for Jason to actually start killing people in this one. Like, the whole opening act is just the teens being teens, which is fun and all, but when you're expecting a kill-fest it can feel a little slow but I love the characters so I like the movie. Also, is it just me, or does Corey Feldman totally steal the show? Tommy Jarvis is such a great character, and Feldman really nails that nerdy-but-brave vibe. I think that it is this movie's highlight and is probably what makes it my fave, even if they brought Jason back like a week later lol. Oh and I really love that the movie is set in summer, it really gives the movie an extra layer of nostalgia that I just crave in horror movies, even terrible ones. Anyway, just my random thoughts after another viewing! What are your favourite things about 'The Final Chapter'? Any details you always notice?
