Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter - Was it REALLY the final chapter though?
Okay, so I just finished watching Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. Man, that title is such a lie, right? Haha. I mean, we all know it wasn't the end. But, for real, this one was actually pretty good, even if it's still a bit cheesy at times. Crispin Glover's dance? Legendary. So awkward but I can't help but love it. And Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis... kid was a total badass. I really bought into him being able to stand up to Jason. The way he was so resourceful, shaving his head to look like young Jason to confuse him? Genius! There's something just so grimy and great about this one. Maybe it's the kills - they're particularly brutal here, especially the one with the corkscrew. Yeesh! I always feel kinda bad for Doug, just tryna get some snacks, and BAM! Dead. Also, the dynamic with the Jarvis family felt more developed or something? Like, you actually cared a little bit about them surviving, unlike some of the earlier fodder- I mean, victims. I will say though, some of dialogue is soo corny it's cracking me up, even now. Like, nobody actually talks like that, right? But heck, it's part of the charm. Overall, 'The Final Chapter' is a fun, gory ride anddefinitely one of the stronger entries in the series. Even if it's not actually the final chapter. Guess we all know how that turned out, lol. Anyone else think this one holds up better than some of the others?
