Bianca (Moretti, '84) - Am I Missing Something?

Okay, so I just finished watching Bianca (1984) by... Nanni Moretti, right? That dude. It's late, I'm tired, and I'm staring at the ceiling trying to figure out exactly what I just witnessed. I mean, the whole 'obsessive teacher fixated on a woman he barely knows' thing is creepy enough, but then it just takes a hard left into... something else. Like, what was with the whole 'ideal school' setup at the beginning? The silent lunchroom where everyone just watches Fellini? The principal who looks like he hasn't slept in a decade? Was that supposed to be some kind of commentary on Italian education at the time? Or just pure Moretti weirdness? And then that reveal near the end... I honestly wasn't expecting it. Not sure if I liked it or not, honestly. It definetely made me go 'woah'. I guess my question is, did anyone else find this movie as unsettling as I did? And was it supposed to be funny, or just... deeply uncomfortable? I keep thinking about that yogurt scene in the fridge and I'm pretty grossed out. I feel like there's a lot going on under the surface that I'm just not getting. Am I completely missing some key italian culture thing here? Or is it just a bizarre, kinda disturbing character study? Help a late-night movie watcher out, people. Tell me what you thought. Maybe I need to rewatch it sober... or maybe not. I dunno.
