"The Ice Pirates" - Okay, Hear Me Out...

Alright, alright, so I just finished watching "The Ice Pirates" again. Yes, again. Don't judge me. It's on that list of movies that are so bad, they're good, you know? But this time, something hit me. I had a THOUGHT. What if... and bear with me here... what if "The Great Lost Water" isn't actually GONE gone? Like, vanished into thin air? What if it's in plain sight? I'm thinking specifically about that whole 'plague' that turns people into, basically, horny zombies. Kirk, that flamboyant dude, got hit with it, remember? Anyway, what if that plague is actually a reaction to the extreme water scarcity in the galaxy? Like, the bodies are trying to compensate or something, right? And that's why Zorn is so obsessed with finding where the water went - he wants to weaponize it for that evil empire he hangs with. He wants to use this effect on people, like, weaponize it! It would make sense, right? And here's the kicker, and maybe this is me reaching: What if the planet isn't gone, but transformed? Like, so radically changed that no one recognizes it anymore. Maybe it became a giant ice asteroid or something, and the water is locked inside… and the plague is just the first sign of the planet trying to communicate, like some sort of super advanced biological defense mechanism? I dunno, maybe I'm just hopped up on caffeine pills and B-movie fumes, but it kinda tracks, right? I feel like I need to rewatch the part at the end now where they're jumping to lightspeed or whatever, and see if that super-advanced robot girl identifies a planet that got changed to something else. I dunno, but watch it! I think it will make sense..
