Okay, "Marche à l'ombre" was... weirdly enjoyable?

So, I stumbled across this movie "Marche à l'ombre" (1984) the other night, and I'm still not entirely sure what I watched, haha. Like, two dudes just bumming around Europe? One's a musician, the other is super mopey, and they basically just try to get to Paris. It's pretty low budget, you can tell, but there's something kinda charming about that. I couldn't even find the director listed anywhere online, which adds to the whole mystery. Honestly, half the time I was laughing because the situations they got into were so ridiculous! Remember that scene where they're trying to busk in Greece and basically no one cares? Gold. And the whole squatting in Paris thing was oddly compelling, even though it looked super uncomfortable. I actually kind of felt for the sad guy; I mean, who hasn't had a day (or, ya know, a month) where they just felt blah? It's definitely not a movie for everyone. If you need constant action and a tight plot, steer clear. But if you're in the mood for something a little… offbeat, with a sort of aimless, wandering vibe, give it a shot. It's like a snapshot of 80s drifter culture or something. Just don't expect a happy ending, lol. I ended up watching it cause it was free but maybe I'll even watch it again sometime.
