Silver Bullet: Why is Nobody Talking About This 80s Gem?!
Okay, so I just finished watching "Silver Bullet" and I'm a MESS. I knew nothing about this movie going in, just that it had something to do with werewolves, and WOW. The opening scene with the train worker literally made me jump, and then it just kept ratcheting up from there! I was genuinely scared for Marty, the kid in the wheelchair, the whole time. I'm such a sucker for underdog characters, and he's just trying to live his life and suddenly BAM, werewolf problems. Legitimately heart-wrenching. This movie just GRABBED me, you know? It's not just the scares though. The relationship between Marty and his sister Jane felt so real and relatable. I have a younger brother, and their dynamic really got to me. It's like, they bicker, but they SO clearly love each other and would do anything for each other. I was sobbing when she finally believed him about the werewolf. Like, FINALLY! Took her long enough, haha. And Gary Busey? Iconic. Absolutely bonkers in this, but in a way that totally works. I'm not sure anyone else could've played Uncle Red with that same level of chaotic energy. The creature effects are a little cheesy now, I'll admit, but honestly, that just adds to the 80s charm. It's the kind of movie that makes you want to curl up under a blanket and never leave the house again, but in the best possible way. Seriously, if you haven't seen "Silver Bullet," do yourself a favor and check it out! I had no idea it would hit me this hard. Prepare for the waterworks, folks! Ugh, now I need to go watch something fluffy to recover. Maybe "The Princess Bride" for the tenth time? Anyway, what did YOU all think of "Silver Bullet?" Am I the only one who gets super emotional during it?
