Blast from the Past: Anyone Else Remember "Three Men and a Cradle"?
Okay, so I was reminiscing with a friend about some older movies that were actually pretty sweet, and "Three Men and a Cradle" popped into my head! Anyone else remember this one? It's about three Parisian bachelors – Jacques, Pierre, and Michel – living the high life until a baby literally gets dropped on their doorstep. Hilarity (and heartwarming moments) ensues, naturally. I remember being a kid and just finding it SO funny watching these guys try to figure out how to change a diaper or mix formula. And the scene where they're all trying to rock the cradle to sleep, exhausted and bleary-eyed? Classic! It's definitely a product of its time, with some attitudes towards women that make me raise an eyebrow now, but it's still got a lot of charm. Plus, it really does show how much your life can change in an instant, and how responsibility can bring unexpected joy. I wonder if it would hold up for my kids now? It's rated PG, so content-wise it's totally fine, but the pacing is definitely slower than what they're used to. Maybe I'll give it a try this weekend. Has anyone watched it with their kids recently? I'm curious to know what the reaction would be. Also, wasn't there an American remake with Ted Danson? I think I remember that but haven't seen it.
