Aliens: Still Holds Up (Mostly)

Okay, so I finally re-watched "Aliens" last night, and I gotta say, it's still pretty damn good. I mean, the first "Alien" is pure atmospheric horror, right? Slow burn, creepy as hell. But "Aliens" cranks it up to eleven with the action. It's like, what if we gave Ripley a huge machine gun and a squad of space marines? And it totally works! I really love Vasquez. She's such a badass, and I think she's like, a super underrated action hero. And Bishop? What a bro. The scene where he's crawling through the tunnels to guide them? Stressful AF! Although, I have to admit, the effects are a little dated in some spots (the queen alien is a little too puppet-y sometimes). But honestly, it doesn't really take away from the overall tension. Newt is great even though she is a little annoying at times, but I guess that makes sense cuz she's a kid. Overall, it's an awesome sequel. I kinda wish they'd left the franchise alone after this one, if I'm being honest. Are there any other sequel recommendations out there? Maybe something similar in tone (but not Alien 3 lol).
