DUNDEE! Just watched this 80s classic, what did y'all think?

Hey everyone, Tyler here! Ok, so I'm on my journey of catching up on all these totally iconic films I somehow missed. Last night, I watched 'Crocodile Dundee' (1986). I had NO idea going in what to expect other than, yeah, there's a crocodile hunter. Honestly, it was way funnier than I thought it would be? Like, the whole fish-out-of-water thing with Mick in New York was genuinely hilarious. The scene where he uses his knife to, uh, 'negotiate' with the muggers in the subway?? I was dying! Linda Kozlowski (Sue) was also super cool. I liked that she wasn't just some damsel in distress. But here's my question, did anyone else think the romance felt a little rushed? Like, she's engaged to this total jerk, Richard, then suddenly she's head-over-heels for Mick because...he can skin a snake and fight off purse snatchers? I mean, I get the appeal, but was there something I missed there? Also, I'm curious if people who actually grew up in Australia felt like the movie was accurate at all? Or was it all just a big stereotype? I'm always interested in hearing perspectives from people who have firsthand experience or knowledge that I don't... and it's always interesting what ages well and what doesn't. I'm really glad I finally checked this one off my list, though. Definitely a good time! What are your favorite moments from the movie?
