Okay, but is Audrey TWO also a plant?? Little Shop Conspiracy Time
Alright, so I just re-watched Little Shop of Horrors with Sarah and Mark (movie night tradition, y'all!), and something hit me. We ALL know Seymour is basically a human plant at the end, right? But what if Audrey TWO wasn't the only leafy weirdo. What if... Audrey was part plant too? Hear me out. Think about it. She's obsessed with flowers, obviously. But it's more than that. She’s like, uniquely tuned into them. And she's kinda... delicate. That whole 'Somewhere That's Green' number? It’s not just a cute song, it's a literal craving for sunlight and... fertilizer, maybe? Plus, she wilts without Seymour giving her attention (aka feeding Audrey TWO). And her whole look is kinda floral too, with the big hair and pastel clothes. Okay, maybe I'm reaching. But the movie's already absurd. And think of the ending! She asks Seymour to feed her to the plant so she can always be with him. Maybe that's not just love, maybe it's her returning her essence to the plant world, or something equally bonkers. I'm not saying she's a full-on walking, talking Venus flytrap before Audrey TWO, but what if she's like, a hybrid? A plant-person seed that was just waiting for the right fertilizer (aka, Seymour's blood) to really bloom? The director's cut ending makes this even scarier, come to think of it. Let me know what you guys think, am I totally out to lunch or onto something here?
