Okay, "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" - Legitimately Creeped Out...

So, I just watched "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" for the first time and... whoa. I knew it was supposed to be dark, but damn, that movie is bleak. Like, seriously messed up. I wasn't expecting something that raw, you know? Definitely not your typical slasher flick or anything. Michael Rooker is terrifying as Henry. He's just so... normal-looking. Like, he could be your neighbor, which makes it even more unsettling. The scene where they're filming the murder on VHS is probably the most disturbing thing I've seen in a while. Like, you're watching them watch themselves being evil. Makes you wonder what kind of person would make a thing like that! The direction is really well done, very documentary like. Otis (Tom Towles) is a whole other level of awful. The fact that he's just so casually accepting of the violence is almost worse than Henry actually doing it at times. Like, he just wants it to be fun, good times! So what even is the point of the movie? What ideas is it trying to get at about the nature of evil? Anyway, I'm still processing it all. What did you guys think after watching? Is there something I'm missing there because it's not the kind of movie I'm used to, and I'd appreciate any insights. And does anyone else have trouble sleeping after watching this one? Because yikes...
