Asterix in Britain - Am I the only one who CRIES?!

Okay, so I just rewatched Asterix in Britain (yes, the cartoon one from '86) and I'm an emotional wreck AGAIN! I know, I know, it's a silly cartoon, but something about it just...gets me. It's gotta be the underdog spirit, right? This tiny little British village just holding on against the HUGE Roman Empire. And then Asterix and Obelix showing up to help? Ugh, my heart swells. Especially the scene where they finally get the magic potion and just WRECK those Romans – I literally cheered! I know it's just a cartoon fight, but it felt like a victory for the little guy, you know? Also, the little subtle jokes about British culture? So endearing. But seriously, am I the only weirdo who gets misty-eyed watching this? Maybe it's childhood nostalgia, but that ending, with everyone cheering and celebrating... and Dogmatix getting some bone in the eye… it just hits different. Does anyone else find hidden depths in this silly cartoon, or am I just projecting all my feelings onto a bunch of animated Gauls and Brits?
