The Wraith (1986): So... Charlie Sheen as a Supernatural Dodge?

Okay, so last night me and the crew watched The Wraith. Talk about a wild ride, haha. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I just saw. Packard Walsh, what a psycho! I mean, really, Clint Howard as a total sleazeball? Nailed it! The whole drag racing thing was intense, especially with how brutal they were. But then comes the Wraith in this suped-up Dodge... seriously, where did that car COME from?! Was it just me, or did the whole thing feel like a super long music video at times? Charlie Sheen... or whoever he was supposed to be... totally rocks up and is just deadly. Get it? Sorry, bad pun. But seriously, is he supposed to be Jamie come back to life? Some kind of angel of vengeance fueled by motor oil? The movie doesn't really spell it out, which I kinda liked, but also left me super confused. Like, how did he rebuild himself into Charlie Freaking Sheen? Speaking of confusing, that whole love triangle with Keri (Sherilyn Fenn) was kinda weird. I felt bad for Billy, but also…girl, run far, far away from all these crazy drivers, LOL. And the ending, with the Wraith just kinda... disappearing? Did he accomplish his mission? Did Packard and his gang finally learn their lesson? Probably not, those guys were beyond redemption. Anyway, what did you guys think? Am I missing something obvious here? Anyone else get major 80s cheese vibes, but in a good way? Did anyone else actually shed a tear when the Dodge self-destructed? I swear I almost did! Let me know your thoughts, I'm dying to dissect this one further.
